Brown Crew Wins Novice 8 at Housatonic

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The men's freshmen crew raced this past weekend in Shelton, Conn., at the Head of the Housatonic and won their event, the men's collegiate novice eight.
The rookie boat came in almost two and half minutes ahead of the second place finishers from Williams College. The Bears finished with a time of 15:16.606.
The Varsity will be racing next this weekend at the Head of the Genesee which the Brown Crews are defending Champions in the Collegiate Men's four and the Collegiate Men's eight.
The entire team, freshmen and varsity, will be racing at The Head of the Charles on October 24 in the championship eight event along with an alumni boat as well.
