An Olympian and NCAA champion distance runner, Marielle Hall is in her first season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Bears in 2022-23.

Hall competed collegiately at the University of Texas, where she captured the 2014 NCAA outdoor national title as a senior in the 5,000 meters (15:35.11). She also took home the Big 12 title in the 1,500 meters that season, in addition to the individual 2013 Big 12 championship in cross country. On the indoor track, Hall was a five-time Big 12 champion.

Shortly after graduating, Hall went pro in June 2014 and represented Team USA in the 5,000 meters at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing, China, and the 10,000 meter final at the 2016 Summer Olympic in Rio de Janeiro. She also competed at the IAAF World Championships in the 10,000 meters in Doha in 2019.

Endorsed by Nike, Hall has represented the brand at local, national and international events, developed social media content for running products and apparel, worked with Nike’s marketing team to launch the ZoomX Invincible and has participated in New York Fashion Week. She has also contributed written material for Runner’s World.

Hall graduated from Texas in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in government and is currently a member of the Crossover into Business Program at Harvard.
