2023-24: Stroked the Third Varsity 8 all spring … Helped the crew take first at both the Eastern Sprints (May 5) and Ivy League Championships (May 18) … Helped the 3V take wins over Princeton (Mar. 30) and Cornell (Apr. 27).
2022-23: Rowed with the third varsity eight for the majority of the spring season ... Helped the 3V8 to first place at Eastern Sprints and third place at the Ivy League Championships ... Helped the B4 to a win against Cornell.
2021-22: Rowed with the 3V8 in most races during the spring season … Helped the 3V8 crew take second at the Ivy Championships and first at the Eastern Sprints … Helped the 3V crew take wins over Cornell, Dartmouth, and Radcliffe during the season.
2020-21: Raced with the B varsity four and third varsity eight during the regular season.
Before Brown: Finished ninth at the Head of the Charles in the coxed four in 2018 and fifth in 2019 … Placed seventh at the 2019 USRowing Youth National Championships in the coxless pair … Rowed for NorCal Crew under coaches Stefan Evano and Joel Skaliotis … Served team as a captain as a senior … Earned the team’s Hardest Working Award in 2019 and Team MVP in 2020 … National Honor Society student.
Personal: Ava is the daughter of Ashley and P.J. Honerkamp … Has two younger siblings, Lydia and Teddy … Entered Brown undecided on a concentration.
