15 Members of Women's Crew Earn CRCA Scholar-Athlete Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) announced its list of 2025 Scholar-Athletes this afternoon at 2 p.m. The Bears were incredibly well represented, with 15 members of the program receiving recognition for their excellence in the classroom.Â
Seniors Nadia Vondeling, Caroline Schmitz, Jessica McGrady, Riley Cooper, Audrey Roche, and Annie Herring all collected their third consecutive Scholar-Athlete honors. Juniors Hannah Hickson, Mary Claire Warren, Tessa Tomkinson, and Isla Wilding received their second Scholar-Athlete nods. Sophomores Matilda Damon, Lizzie Hedeman, Calissa Snyder Cox, Ava Rothemyer and Junior coxswain Caitlyn Roddy were awarded their first career CRCA Scholar-Athlete honors.
The Bears, along with Cornell and Harvard, were tied for second in the Ivy League with their 15 honorees. Only Columbia had more, with 21 athletes receiving recognition. Other Ivy League schools to receive CRCA Scholar-Athlete nods were Dartmouth (13), Princeton (13), Penn (12), and Yale (12). Â
Of the 64 Division I programs to have an athlete recognized, only Columbia (21), Stanford (20), Georgetown (19), North Carolina (19), Eastern Michigan (18), Oklahoma (18), Indiana (16), and Minnesota (16) ended up with more honorees than Brown.Â
