2014: Appeared in 27 games behind the plate for Brown … Had five hits and scored two runs on the season … Finished tied for third on the team in home runs … Was third on the team with 82 put-outs … Finished the season with a .945 fielding percentage ... Went 2-for-2 with a home run and two runs scored against St. Francis (Pa.) (March 15).
2013: Served as the Bears’ starting catcher, appearing in 36 games and starting in 35…Made 89 putouts and registered a .982 fielding percentage…Registered three hits, all doubles, in 42 at-bats for a .071 batting average…Also made one pitching start, compiling a 7.88 ERA.
Before Brown: A member of the National Honor Society for four years and the Women’s Honor Society President for 2012 at Santa Cruz High School…A Principal’s List selection and member of the American Red Cross Santa Cruz High Chapter…A three-year letter winner for the water polo team and four-year letter winner as a catcher and pitcher for Santa Cruz High School…Named to the Sentinel All-County and honored as the SCCAL Most Valuable Player in 2012…Served as a team captain during her sophomore, junior and senior seasons and was also named captain of the water polo team for two seasons…A four-time SCCAL first team All-League and two-time All-County selection…An ESPN California All-State Softball selection…Compiled a batting average of .450 and a slugging percentage of .800 throughout high school.
Personal: Alexandra Scott is the daughter of Jon and Deme Scott of Santa Cruz, California…Her brother, Andrew, plays water polo at Johns Hopkins University…Her cousins, Robbie and Megan Burmeister, play water polo at Harvard and UCLA, respectively…Her cousin Allison Burmeister, is on the crew team at Princeton…Enjoys cooking, surfing, snowboarding and volunteering with the Special Olympics…Her concentration is undeclared.
