Joseph Raho joined the men's and women's squash coaching stafffor the 2014-15 season after a distinguished playing career at theUniversity of Pennsylvania.
A native of Bedford, N.Y., Raho captained the Penn team as asenior in 2008-09. During his time at Penn the squad finished5th in the country twice and 7th once.
After graduating, Raho coached privately at the Round Hill Cluband Apawamis Country Club. He also coached the Greenwich Academymiddle school team which won the US middle school championships in2012 and was an assistant for the varsity team which won the UShigh school championships in 2012.
As a fledgling squash player, Raho won the US Closed Nationalsin the Under 13 and Under 15 divisions in 2000 and 2002,respectively, and finished both years at #1 in the United States. He played on the US Junior National Team in the World JuniorChampionships in Islamabad, Pakistan in 2004 that finished 14th.
