As a Junior in 2015-16: Played in 30 of 31 games during the season … finished with three assists in games against Dartmouth (11/6), Providence (1/3) and Union (1/30) … had a season-high four shots against Cornell (2/12) … took 33 shots.
As a Sophomore in 2014-15: Appeared in 30 games … recorded six points on six assists … made two assists in both wins over Providence (Jan. 10) and Rensselaer (Feb. 13) … also tallied assists against Army (Oct. 31) and Colgate (Feb. 28) … Finished +4 in the Rensselaer game … took 24 shots on the season.
As a Freshman in 2013-14: Skated in 30 of 31 games on the season … Made his collegiate debut and recorded two shots in a 4-1 victory over Yale … Finished the next night +1 in a 5-3 victory over Dartmouth … Recorded his first collegiate point, an assist, in a 3-3 tie with #4 Boston College … Finished the season with a +1 rating … Skated in 21 of 22 ECAC contest … Finished +1 in a March 8th game at St. Lawrence.
Before Brown Wood played hockey for Noble and Greenough for two seasons and was also a member of the lacrosse team for two years … 2013 Recipient of the Shield, given to the best male athlete at Noble and Greenough … Earned All-ISL honors in both hockey and lacrosse as a senior … Played at Governor’s prior to attending Noble and Greenough … Ranked 206 on the final 2013 Central Scouting Draft Rankings.
Personal: Tyler Preston Wood is the son of Randy and Cheryl Wood of Manchester, Massachusetts … born in 1994 … has one brother, Miles, who is a freshman on the Boston College hockey team … father, Randy, played hockey at Yale and for 11 years (741 games) in the NHL (for the Sabres, Islanders, Stars and Maple Leafs) … interests include golf and fishing ... concentrating in business, entrepreneurship and organizations.
