2021-22: Returned for a graduate season with Brown and played in nine games with seven starts … Opened the season with a 32-save shutout over Yale (Oct. 30) to earn ECAC Goalie of the Week honors … Recorded 42 saves in Brown’s loss against 14th-ranked Providence (Nov. 27) … Named one of 20 Senior CLASS Award nominees.
2020-21: Season canceled due to COVID-19.
2019-20: Started four games before missing the rest of the season due to injury … finished with a .905 save percentage … made a season-high 42 saves in the win at Colgate (11/9).
2018-19: Started all 16 games played and logged 896:34 … finished with a record of 4-8-4 … posted a .912 save percentage and a 2.88 goals-against average … had seven games with at least 30 saves with a pair of 40-plus save efforts … posted a shutout at Dartmouth (2/23) with 30 saves … made a career high 47 saves in a win at Quinnipiac (2/9) … named ECAC Goalie of the Week (2/9) after posting a .963 save percentage in a pair of road wins … recorded a .917 save percentage in conference play.
2017-18: Started 19 of 21 games played … finished with a .902 save percentage and a 3.08 goals-against average … posted a 4-12-4 record … named ECAC Goalie of the Week (2/27) after a weekend sweep against Harvard and Dartmouth … recorded first career shutout against Dartmouth (2/24) … career high 41 save against Harvard (2/23) … eight games with 30-plus saves.
Before Brown: Spent the last two seasons with the Minnesota Wilderness of the North American Hockey League ... most recently posted a .914 save percentage in 37 games in 2016-17 and recorded a .936 mark in eight playoff games ... In 2015-16, Kania registered a 2.63 goals-against average for the Wilderness in the regular season and went on to put together an impressive playoff run, as he posted a 1.72 GAA with a .928 save percentage in nine games ... also spent time with the Aberdeen Wings (NAHL) and played two seasons at Shattuck St. Mary's Prep School ... Hesburgh Scholar.
