2024-25: Raced with the 4V8 and helped them earn a sixth place finish in the Grand Final at the Eastern Sprints (May 18).
2023-24: Rowed between the Third, Fourth, and Fifth Varsity crews during the season … Helped the 5V8 finish third at the Eastern Sprints (May 19) … Helped the 3V take a win over Northeastern (Apr. 13) … Helped the 4V8 take a win over Boston University (Mar. 23) and the 5V8 to a win over Princeton (May 4).
2022-23: Helped the fifth varsity to a win against Harvard (Apr. 8).
2021-22: Began the season with the fourth varsity crew before moving to the third and eventually the second varsity crew for the Championship races … Helped the 2V8 to a fifth-place finish at the 119th IRA Championship and a second-place finish at the 75th Eastern Sprints … Rowed with the 2V8 in the win over Princeton (Apr. 30) … Raced with the 3V8 in the win over Northeastern (Apr. 16) and race against Dartmouth (Apr. 23) … Rowed with the 4V8 in the win over Navy (Mar. 27) and against Yale (Apr. 2) and Harvard (Apr. 9).
Before Brown: Came in second at the NEIRA Regatta in the first varsity eight in 2018-19 … Placed third at the NEIRA Regatta in the second varsity eight in 2017-18 … Raced for head coach Colin Campbell … Also competed in wrestling; finished in fifth place at Prep Nationals and in second at the NEISWA tournament in 2019-20 … Earned the Coaches Award in both crew and wrestling.
Personal: Will is the son of Kelsey and Andrew Taylor … Has two younger siblings, Natalie and James … Entered Brown undecided on a concentration.
Why Brown? “I chose Brown for the environment of the men’s crew team and coaches – it was better than any other school I looked at. The prestige of the college and the people that attended also drew me in, but the deciding factor was the crew team.”
