UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Brown University women's soccer dropped a 6-0 decision at Penn State University on Sunday afternoon at Jeffrey Field.

The Nittany Lions (2-1-1) scored three goals in each of the first and second halves to top the visiting Bears (2-2-0).

Penn State netted goals in the 27^th, 38^th, 41^st, and 54^th minutes before finding the back of the net twice in the 76^th minute. For the hosts, Nicole Crane scored three goals while Bella Ayscue, Ellie Kocher, and Lilly Burger each posted one goal.

For Brown, junior Kyra Treanor, sophomore Jael-Marie Guy, and first-year Georgia Steinbach each tallied two shots.

In goal, senior Gurleen Toor made three saves while sophomore Addison Etter stopped two shots.

Among Brown's field players, Treanor and junior Brooke Birtwistle each played the full 90 minutes.

In the second half, Brown led in shots (7-6) and corner kicks (8-4). For the match, Penn State held edges in shots (15-11), shots on goal (11-5), and corners (9-8).

Inside the first 20 minutes, Toor made three saves while a shot from Guy carried just right of the target before Penn State opened the scoring in the 27^th as Ayscue converted a penalty kick.

Crane netted back-to-back goals in the 38^th and 41^st minutes to close out the half's scoring with her first goal coming after an errant bounce in the penalty area and the second coming off a header on a free kick.

Following a save from Etter in the 49^th minute, the Nittany Lions moved the margin to 4-0 in the 54^th minute as Kocher drove a shot into the left side of the goal from inside the box.

The hosts closed the game's scoring with two goals in the 76^th minute behind a header off a corner from Burger and a shot from the edge of the six-yard box from Crane.

Brown pressured Penn State inside of the final 10 minutes, generating multiple chances off set pieces prior to the final whistle.

Next, Brown hosts back-to-back home games at Stevenson-Pincince Field against Massachusetts on Thursday, Sept. 3 at 6:00 p.m. (ESPN+/NESN+) and No. 14 UCF on Sunday, Sept. 6 at noon (ESPN+).
