PRINCETON, N.J. - Fresh off a third-place finish at the Sarasota 2K, No. 6 Brown men's crew prepares for the Princeton Invitational in New Jersey on April 11. The waters of Lake Carnegie will be loaded with nationally ranked crews on Saturday, with the Bears scheduled to compete against No. 2 California, No. 7 Syracuse, No. 10 Yale, and No. 17 Columbia.
Brown, California, Syracuse, and Yale all finished between third and eighth place in the Ten Eyck Trophy standings at the 2025 IRA Championship.Â
Brown's Varsity Eight, coxed by Elenna Seguin and stroked by Tom Griffin, earned third-place finishes on each day of the Sarasota 2K. Bruno's top crew kept a steady pace at the start of their races, then turned up the intensity around the 1,500-meter mark and pulled away from several competitors.Â
The Second Varsity, coxed by Jack Mershon and stroked by Eddie Andrews, secured a first-place finish in Sarasota, winning their race on March 27 with a time of 5:48.40.Â
The races will start at 8 a.m. and air on ESPN+.
