Women’s Lacrosse Takes on No. 16 Yale in Ivy League Tournament Semifinal on Friday

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Brown women's lacrosse team (8-6, 4-3 Ivy) will battle No. 16 Yale (13-2, 6-1 Ivy) in the Ivy League Tournament Semifinal on Friday, May 1, the opening draw control is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Reese Stadium on the campus of Yale.
Tournament Information
Brown is the No. 4 seed in the Tournament, Yale is the No. 1 seed. The No. 2 seed is Penn and Princeton is the No. 3 seed.
Brown and Yale will open the Tournament at 4 p.m. before Penn and Princeton conclude the semifinals at 7 p.m. The Championship Game will be on Sunday, May 3 at 12 p.m.

Regular Season Recap
Brown closed the regular season with a 4-3 record in non-conference play and a 4-3 record in Ivy League play. The Bears picked up non-conference wins against Holy Cross, Boston University, Bryant, and Vermont.
Brown's Ivy League victories came over Cornell, Columbia, Dartmouth, and Penn. Brown's 14-13 overtime win over Penn in the regular season finale clinched an Ivy League Tournament berth.
Six All-Ivy Honorees
Ruby Sliwkowski's First Team nod headlined Brown's six All-Ivy honorees as Riley Peterson (Second Team), Tessie Batchelder, Codi Johnson, and Cece Korn (Honorable Mention), and KIki Tormey (Academic) rounded out the Bears' All-Ivy honorees.
Brown's six All-Ivy honors are the most since it had seven in 2019.
Scouting Brown
Sliwkowski finished the regular season leading the Bears in goals (38), assists (24), and points (62), her 62 points are the sixth-most in a single season in program history. The Kennebunkport, Maine native finished second in the Ivy League in points per game (4.43). Sliwkowski was named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after her career-high five goal performance against Penn in Brown's regular season finale, Sliwkowski scored the game-winning overtime goal to push the Bears into the Ivy League Tournament.
Sliwkowski's 62 points this season are the sixth-most in a single season in program history; she needs three points to move into the top five. Sliwkowski ranks sixth nationally and leads the Ivy League in free position goals per game (0.93).
Mackenzie Conway ranks 17th nationally in saves per game (9.0) and save percentage (.483), the first-year netminder has recorded double-digit saves in six out of 14 games this season. Conway ranks in the top five in the Ivy League in goals against average (9.66), total saves (126), saves per game, and save percentage.
Scouting Yale
The Bulldogs are seeking their third-straight Ivy League Tournament title. Yale took home three major Ivy League Awards as Emmy Pascal was named Defender of the Year, Kate Gould was named Rookie of the Year, and the Yale coaching staff was named Coaching Staff of the Year.
On the defensive side of the ball, Yale ranks third nationally in scoring defense (7.27). The Bulldogs also have the second-lowest turnovers per game average in the nation (10.47).
History
Brown is 9-41-1 all-time against Yale, the Bulldogs defeated the Bears 10-8 earlier this season at Reese Stadium.
Head coach Katrina Dowd is 1-2 all-time against Yale and 0-2 at Reese Stadium against the Bulldogs.
