Women's Lacrosse Falls to Top-Seeded Yale in Ivy League Tournament Semifinals

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Annie Dignazio paced the Brown offense with two goals, and Caroline Shu provided a spark in the late third and early fourth quarters in the 2026 Ivy League Women's Lacrosse Tournament semifinals, but the top-seeded Yale Bulldogs (13-3) defeated the Bears (8-7), 11-6, on Friday afternoon at Reese Stadium. A switch late in the third quarter led to a Brown comeback, capped by Dignazio's pair of goals and Shu's two assists.
The Bulldogs built a 6-2 halftime lead after outscoring the Bears 4-1 in the second quarter. Yale tallied three goals in the third quarter and ended the Brown rally to defeat the Bears on their home field. Ashley Kiernan scored three goals, Kelly Holmes and Nell Ducey each scored twice for Yale, while Whitney Froeb contributed a goal and a game-high two assists. Goalkeeper Niamh Pfaff earned the win in net, making seven saves to anchor the defense.
Ruby Sliwkowski and Caroline Nozzolillo each recorded one goal and one assist for the Bears. Marley Wright and Riley Peterson each collected a goal. Brown goalkeeper Mackenzie Conway stopped 11 shots in the loss.
Sliwkowski concludes her sophomore campaign with 39 goals and 25 assists, the fifth most points in single-season program history, and first-year Nozzolillo finished with 38 points (23 goals, 15 assists).
