No. 6 Men's Crew to Host No. 4 Dartmouth on Senior Day

PROVIDENCE, R.I - Coming off an Ivy League victory against No. 17 Columbia, No. 6 Brown Men's Crew hosts its lone home race of the season this Saturday against No. 4 Dartmouth.

Racing is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. on the Seekonk and will be the final home race for 11 Bruno seniors: Ivan Augustinov, Mees du Croo de Jongh, Nick Gaensler, Gavin Green, Tristan Green, Tom Griffin, Davis Kelly, David Person, Adelaide Poulson, Vijay Ramakrishnan, and Dom Valt.

The Bears will be looking to exact some revenge on the Big Green, as the last time both programs raced in Providence was in 2022, when Dartmouth won, with Brown narrowly losing the regatta by 1.6 seconds.

The Bears have not lost at home since the 2022-23 season, when they fell to Northeastern, and have won several consecutive races since then.

In addition to their dominant nine-second victory over Columbia last weekend, the Bears' Varsity Eight has secured several podium finishes at the Sarasota 2K and the Princeton Invite. Led by Griffin and Kelly, the V8 has delivered promising results in the early stages of the season against several of the top crews in the country.

The Second Varsity, coxed by Jack Mershon and stroked by Eddie Andrews, has the most first-place finishes of any Brown crew this season after defeating Columbia by more than fourteen seconds and earning a victory on the first day of the Sarasota 2K.
