
No. 2 Women’s Sailing Finishes Second in Southern New England Team Race

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown sailing teams competed in one event each last weekend, highlighted by the No. 2 women's sailing team finishing second in the Southern New England Team Race.
The women's team finished second out of the top eight teams in New England in the Southern New England Team Race hosted by Connecticut College last weekend. The Bears finished with an 8-4 overall record, losing on a tiebreaker to Yale.
The No. 4 open team competed in the Graham Hall Team Race Interconference at the U.S. Naval Academy last weekend. Brown finished seventh out of 16 teams from around the country with a 15-5 overall record. Seven of the top ten sailing programs in the nation competed in the event.
Up Next
The women's sailing team will head to Tufts to compete for the Duplin Team Race Trophy (March 21-22). The open sailing team will compete in the Friis Team Race Trophy at Harvard (March 21-22), the Roger Williams Team Race Invitational (March 21), and the Boston College Team Race (March 22).
Both teams will then travel to St. Petersburg for spring break training.
