Men’s Lacrosse Falls at No. 6 UNC, 19-7

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – No. 6 North Carolina (6-1) was able to secure a 19-7 victory at Dorrance Field on Saturday over Brown men's lacrosse (3-2).
Brown opened the game with a strong first period, scoring the game's first three goals. UNC scored four unanswered to take a 4-3 lead after one. North Carolina added four goals in the second to take an 8-4 lead at halftime.
The third quarter was the turning point, with North Carolina outscoring Brown 8-1 to extend its lead to 16-5. The Bears scored twice in the fourth, but UNC added three more to close out the 19-7 victory.
Marcus Wertheim led the offense with two goals and two assists. Connor Foley recorded 12 saves. PJ Behan, Brady O'Kane, Felix Rockefeller, Preston Evans, and Baden Brown each scored.
UP NEXT
The Bears travel to face 2025 NCAA national champion and nationally-ranked Cornell on Saturday, March 14, at noon.
