
Women’s Fencing Finishes Sixth at the 2026 Ivy League Championships

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Brown women's fencing team concluded the 2026 Ivy League Championships, finishing sixth. The Bears competed against No. 4 Yale, losing 20-7, and finished round two versus No. 5 Penn, falling 19-8.
In sabre action, Ibla Vadasz led the squad with a 2-4 record, while Soph Bililies finished 1-4. Alexandra Tzou ended the day at 0-2, and Sophia Lee went 0-1. Alyssa Sun rounded out the group with a 1-3 performance.
From the foil squad, Jessie Chen posted a 2-4 record, while Vera Fung finished 1-4. Grace Li went 3-2, and Catherine Zhou ended the day at 0-1.
In epee contests, Ashley Luo had a 3-3 record, while Jessie Yan and Dasha Smuk both finished 0-3. Kira Nguyen posted a 1-3 mark, and Amy Mao rounded out the day with a 1-1 record.
UP NEXT
The Bears will travel to Boston College to compete in the Northeast Fencing Conference Championships on February 28th at 9 a.m. as a rescheduled match from earlier this season.
