Men's Water Polo Goes 4-0 at Bruno Invite

PROVIDENCE, RI -- The Men's Water Polo team sweeps the competition, going 4-0 this weekend.
Day two of the Bruno Invite began with a great offensive display in a 17-6 win over Chapman at 12:30 p.m. this afternoon. Ilias Stothart continued his standout tournament with five goals, while Kole Newman anchored the defense with 12 saves in goal. Filip Josipovic added three goals of his own, and both William Vranesh and Broady Paine chipped in two apiece as the Bears controlled the match from start to finish.
The mental health awareness game was the final game of the invite, with a strong 19–11 win over Johns Hopkins. Brown's offense stayed hot, with Ilias Stothart once again delivering a five-goal performance and Ramzi Megalli right behind with four goals. Mac Berry added a hat trick (three goals), and Ryan Miele was solid in goal with seven saves and two blocks, helping the Bears close out the Bruno Invite with a perfect 4–0 record.
With four strong wins, the Bears not only defended home water but also built momentum heading into the heart of the season. Their balanced attack and defensive tenacity were on full display throughout the Bruno Invite, signaling a promising road ahead.
What's Next?
The Bears travel to Brooklyn, N.Y., to play LIU on Saturday, Oct. 4th, hoping to keep up the energy from this past weekend.Â
