Men’s Water Polo Battles to the Finish on Final Day of Play in California

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The Bears closed out their tournament with two hard-fought games on the final day, taking on the tough competition of No. 14 LMU and No. 19 UCSB.
LMU
In the first game of the day, the Bears fell to host Loyola Marymount, 13-9.
Jaxson Tierney and Griffin Tunney each scored twice, helping keep the offense rolling. Dimitrios came up big in goal with six solid saves, including a great stop late in the third.
UCSB
In the late afternoon of day two, Dominik Balla got things going with a clean shot to the back of the net two minutes into game two, and Griffin Tunney added another to finish off a strong day in front of the cage. Ryan Miele and Kole Newman held it down in goal with several key saves, keeping the team in the game but ultimately the Bears fell to UC Santa Barbara by a score of 16-8. What's Next
The Bears are back home next weekend (Sept. 20-21) or the Bruno Inivte.
