No. 3 Seeded Women's, No. 5 Seeded Coed Sailing Team Prepare for ICSA Fleet Race National Semifinals

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown No. 3 seeded women's sailing team, and No. 5 seeded open sailing team will prepare to compete in the Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) Fleet Race semifinals over the course of the next two weeks hosted by St. Mary's College of Maryland.
The Women's ICSA Fleet Race National Championship semifinals will begin on Tuesday, May 20, and continue through Wednesday, May 21. The Championship finals will follow on Thursday, May 22, rounding out competition on Friday, May 23. The third-seeded women's team earned automatic qualification to the event after finishing second in the NEISA Women's Conference Championship. The Bears last won the Women's Fleet Race title in 2019.
The Open ICSA Fleet Race National Championship semifinal will take place the following week, with the semifinals running through Tuesday, May 27 to Wednesday, May 28. The Championship finals will take place on Thursday, May 29 and Friday, May 30. The fifth-seeded open team earned an At-Large berth a few weeks prior to the competition.Â
Both teams will square off against 17 teams in the semifinal, with their sights set on qualifying for the finals. The top nine teams in both semifinals will qualify for their respective National Championship final. Â
