
Softball Opens 2025 NCAA Tournament in the Lubbock Bracket, Takes on No. 12 Texas Tech on Friday at 5:30 p.m.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Fresh off earning the 2025 Ivy League Tournament Championship, Brown University (33-15) earned a No. 4 seed in the Lubbock region and will take on Texas Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, May 16. The No. 12 overall-ranked and Big 12 Tournament Champion Red Raiders will host the bracket that features the Bears, Mississippi State, and Washington.
The opening round game on Friday will stream live on ESPN+.
Year one under Mary Holt-Kelsch marked the program's first-ever Ivy Tournament appearance and tournament championship. The 33 wins this season are tied for the most in a single season (1991).
BEARS IN THE NCAA TOURNAMENT
Brown has appeared in one NCAA Tournament in program history (1997), with contests against Colorado State and Boston College.
