No. 17 Women’s Lacrosse Set to Conclude Non-Conference Play at Bryant on Tuesday

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The No. 17 Brown women's lacrosse team (8-3, 3-1) will conclude non-conference play at Bryant (7-5, 2-1) on Tuesday evening at Beirne Stadium.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ at 7:00 p.m.
Last Time Out
Brown moved to 3-1 in Ivy League play with a wire-to-wire 19-5 victory over Columbia (Apr. 5). Annie Burton matched a career-high with nine points, it was the second time this season she has tallied nine points in a game. Burton's 40 assists this season puts her second in a single season in program history.
Leah Caputo recorded her 100th career point early in the fourth quarter as she finished with two goals and two assists. Riley Peterson finished with three goals as Greta Criqui and Avery Doran contributed five points each.
National Noise
On Monday, Brown stayed at No. 17 in the IL Women top 25 poll while moving up to No. 18 the IWLCA top 25 poll. The Bears remained at No. 19 in the USA Lacrosse Magazine top 20 poll.
Scouting Brown (8-3, 3-1)
Brown has outscored its opponents 113-61 in non-conference play; they own a 5-2 non-conference record.
Brown's 9.36 assists per game ranks second nationally and first in the ivy League, its 25.0 points per game ranks third nationally and first in the Ivy League. Annie Burton's 3.64 assists per game ranks third nationally and her 40 total assists ranks sixth nationally. Both assist totals lead the Ivy League.
Brown's 15.64 scoring offense and 6.27 scoring margin also rank in the top 10 nationally.
Claire Mahoney's 7.74 goals against average ranks fourth in the nation.
Scouting Bryant (7-5, 2-1)
Bryant is 0-2 against Ivy League opponents this season after suffering a 15-5 defeat to Dartmouth and a 23-12 loss at Harvard.
The Bulldogs rank second in the nation with 14.08 caused turnovers per game, Kaelynn O'Brien ranks fifth in the nation and first in the America East with 3.0 caused turnovers per game. Jessica Tosone ranks seventh nationally and first in the America East with 3.33 ground balls per game.
The Bulldogs have also won two consecutive games at Beirne Stadium and own a 3-3 home record.
History
Brown has won four consecutive games against Bryant and has won 13 out of the last 15 meetings. The Bears are 1-0 against the Bulldogs under head coach Katrina Dowd.
Last season, Brown kept the Ocean State Cup with a 20-9 win at Stevenson-Pincince Field.
