
Alex Finkelstein Named Second Team All-Ivy in Singles, Noah Hernandez and Lukas Phimvongsa Earn Honorable Mention in Doubles

PRINCETON, N.J. - Senior Alex Finkelstein of the Brown men's tennis team was named Second Team All-Ivy in singles, Noah Hernandez and Lukas Phimvongsa earned Ivy League Honorable Mention honors in doubles, the Ivy League announced on Thursday afternoon.
Earlier this season, Finkelstein was ranked the No. 115 singles performer nationally by the ITA, he became the first Bear to be nationally ranked in singles since Dan Hanegby in 2007. Finkelstein also picked up a singles victory over then No. 37 Daniel Milavsky of Harvard earlier this season.
The Raynham, Mass. native became the second singles All-Ivy performer in the last three seasons under head coach Alex Kasarov, joining Niraj Komatineni in 2023.
Finkelstein finished his senior season with a 17-10 overall record and a 3-3 mark in Ivy League singles action. He owned a team-best 15-8 mark against No. 1 opponents. He also finished the season with a 7-3 record in his last 10 singles matches.
Hernandez and Phimvongsa became the first Honorable Mention All-Ivy doubles performers under Kasarov, the pairing ended the season with a 13-10 mark. The pairing finished the season with a team-best 8-6 record against opponents' No. 1 doubles pairings.
Alex Koong was also named Academic All-Ivy.
As a team, Brown enjoyed one the best seasons in program history after winning 18 matches, the most since 2009. Brown's 16 home victories tied the most in a single season and matched the 2006 Bears.
