
Men’s Tennis Falls 4-2 at William & Mary

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Brown men's tennis team (7-5) concluded its trip to Virginia with a 4-2 defeat at William & Mary (3-3) on Sunday.
In doubles play, Ivan Sodan and Zander Bravo fell 6-3 to William & Mary's Oliver Hague and Gur Trakhtenberg, while Noah Hernandez and Lukas Phimvongsa dropped their match to Albert Hansen and Theo Nilsson by the same score.
On the singles courts, Brown picked up a strong win from Hernandez, who earned a 7-5, 6-3 victory over Nikita Bortnichek. Robert Yang added another solid performance with a 6-2, 6-1 win against Austin Cohen. Phimvongsa pushed Hague to a tight second set before falling 6-3, 7-6, and Elliot Wasserman battled in a competitive match against Dylan Chou, ultimately dropping a 6-3, 7-6 decision. Alex Koong rounded out the day with a 7-5, 6-2 loss to Hansen.
The Bears return to action on Saturday, March 1, when they host Binghamton at 1 p.m.
