No. 17 Women’s Lacrosse Travels to No. 5 Princeton for Crucial Ivy League Clash on Saturday

PRINCETON, N.J. - The No. 17 Brown women's lacrosse team (10-3, 4-1) will travel to No. 5 Princeton (11-2. 4-1) on Saturday, the opening draw control is set for 12:00 p.m.

Brown picked up its fourth-straight Ivy League win with a 13-12 victory at Dartmouth (Apr. 12), the Bears overcame a first half six-goal deficit to earn the win.
Ivy League Tournament Scenarios
The winner of the Brown Princeton game will earn at least a share of the Ivy League regular season title. Brown can also punch its first-ever ticket to the Ivy League Tournament with a win over Princeton or a Penn win over Cornell.
Doran Named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week
On Monday, Avery Doran was named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week. In two wins last week, Doran had 13 points as she had a team-high six points at Bryant (Apr. 8). The Wilton, Conn. native then matched a career-high with seven points in Brown's 13-12 win at Dartmouth (Apr. 12), Doran also had a career-high four goals in the win.
Doran has had five or more points in seven consecutive games and has 20 goals to go along with 21 assists this season.

On Monday, Brown stayed at No. 17 in the IL Women top 25 poll while moving up to No. 18 the IWLCA top 25 poll. The Bears remained at No. 19 in the USA Lacrosse Magazine top 20 poll.

The Bears will look to win its fifth consecutive Ivy League game, the Bears have never won five consecutive Ivy League games or five Ivy League games in a single season.
Annie Burton has 44 assists this season and is seven away from breaking the Brown's single season assists record, a record that has been held since Lauren Becker had 50 in 1986. Burton's 44 total assists and 3.38 assists per game both rank fifth nationally. As a team, Brown ranks second nationally with 9.31 assists per game and fourth with 24.62 points per game.
Brown has scored 199 goals this season, the most in the Ivy League. The Bears also lead the Ivy League in points per game, assists per game, and rank second in goals per game.

McKenzie Blake ranks third nationally with 61 goals this season, Blake is averaging 4.69 goals per game. Haven Dora ranks tied for fifth nationally with 44 total assists and fourth with 3.38 assists per game. Dora tops the Ivy League with 5.08 points per game.
Princeton has the top three point leaders in the Ivy League in Dora, Blake, and Jami MacDonald. As a team, Princeton is averaging a league-best 16.0 goals per game and are averaging 23.38 points per game which ranks second behind Brown.
History
Princeton has won three consecutive games against Brown, the Bears last defeated the Tigers in 2019. Last season, Princeton earned a 23-10 win at Stevenson-Pincince Field.
