Chen and Bililies Wrap Up First Day of NCAA Championships

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Soph Bililies and Jessie Chen wrapped up the first day of the NCAA Championships at Penn State on Saturday. Bililies compiled a 6-9 overall record in the sabre with Chen going 7-8 in the foil.
Both return to action tomorrow for Round 4 and Round 5 before the semifinals and finals.
Bililies sits in 18th place after the first day of competition with the six victories. She posted wins over Notre Dame's Siobhan Sullivan, Yale's Audrey Lin, MIT's Hannah Tao, Penn's Leah Blum, and Northwestern's Alex Chen and Natalie Shearer.
Chen is in 16th place after posting seven victories in today's action. Chen posted wins over Duke's Charlotte Koenig, St. John's Antonia Lachman, Cornell's Renata Chusid, Stanford's Arianna Cao, LIU's Anna Szantay, and Northwestern's Daphne Chan and Yukari Takamizawa.
