BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – The Brown women's gymnastics team used a 194.275-point performance to take home first place at the Bridgeport Quad Meet on Sunday in their final regular season meet of 2025. The score is the Bears' third-highest total of the season and the fourth straight meet they've topped the 194-point mark.
The meet featured all fellow Gymnastics East Conference opponents, with Bridgeport taking second (194.000), William & Mary in third (192.150) and Southern Connecticut State in fourth (190.650).
Brown set the No. 2 all-time mark in program history on beam, topping the 49-point mark for just the second time ever (both times this season), with sophomore Emily Ford tying her own mark for No. 2 all-time in program history on the event with a 9.900. Brown started off the meet with a 48.000 on bars, led by a second place showing from Maya Davis at 9.750. Daisy Fallon and Liza Marcus followed in a tie for third place at 9.675.
The Bears followed with a commanding set of performances on beam, totaling 49.050, the second-best mark in program history behind only their 49.175 showing from February's Ivy Classic. Brown owned four of the top five spots on the event, led by Ford in first place at 9.900, tying her own career-high, which ranks No. 2 in program history along with three other gymnasts. Lindsey Yang tied her career-high at 9.875 to take second place, followed by Lindsay Van Eyk (9.825) in fourth and Jessica Lin (9.800) in fifth.
On floor, the Bears followed with a strong 49.000 score, sweeping the top four spots. A new career-high 9.875 from Walters earned first place. Yang and Davis tied for second at 9.850, with Yang's score tying her career-high. Julia Bedell followed with a 9.825 to earn fourth place overall.
Rounding out the meet on vault, Sophia Dewar earned second place overall at 9.775, followed by Bedell and Umi El Mammann in a tie for eighth at 9.675.
With the regular season now in the rearview mirror, Brown will wrap up its 2025 team meet schedule next Saturday, March 23 with the GEC Championships at The Palestra in Philadelphia. The GEC will announce the official seedings on Monday, with the top four seeded teams will compete in the evening session, while the afternoon session will feature seeds five-through-eight.
