Six Bears Earn All-Ivy Recognition

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Five Bears earned spots on the Ivy League Postseason teams with senior Brendan Clark adding Academic All-Ivy honors. The Ivy League announced the awards on Wednesday.
Sophomores Lawton Zacher and Tyler Kopff earned First Team All-Ivy honors with Alex Pineau picking up Second Team recognition. Captain Max Scott and junior Ryan St. Louis rounded out the group with Honorable Mention All-Ivy accolades.
The five selections leads the Ivy League and the two First Team selections matches Cornell for the conference lead. Brown's five selections are the second-most in program history, matching the five selections in the 2003-04 and 1976-77 seasons. This year's squad trails only the six selections from the 1964-65 team.
Zacher earns First Team honors after posting a 2.77 goals against average and .908 save percentage in nine starts. He finished Ivy play with a 3-4-1 record and recorded 57 saves in the weekend sweep over Yale and 26 wins in Brown's overtime win at Princeton. His save percentage led Ivy League goalies with seven or more games played in conference.
Kopff was one of seven Ivy League skaters to record double-digit points in Ivy play with five goals and six assists for 11 points. Notably, he recorded a pair of third period goals in Brown's Senior Night tie against Harvard (Mar. 1) and added two goals and four points in Brown's home win over Yale (Feb. 9).
Pineau anchored the Brown blue line and finished Ivy League play with a goal and four assists for five points. The Thunder Bay, Ontario native also recorded 29 blocked shots to lead the conference.
Scott led Ivy League skaters with eight assists and ranked third with 11 points alongside Kopff. The captain assisted on all three Brown goals in the Senior Night tie against Harvard (Mar. 1) and recorded a pair of assists in Brown's win at Princeton (Feb. 21) and against Yale (Feb. 9).
St. Louis rounds out the selections after posting four goals and six assists for 10 points in just seven Ivy League games. He is one of seven skaters and one of three Bears with double-digit points in Ivy play. St. Louis recorded three multi-point games in Ivy play, including three-point efforts against Harvard (Mar. 1) and Yale (Feb. 9).
