Zacher Named Second Team All-ECAC

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Sophomore goaltender Lawton Zacher has been named to the Second Team All-ECAC. The ECAC announced the Second Team honorees on Wednesday.
On the season, Zacher holds a .920 save percentage and 2.44 goals against average in 26 starts along with a 14-9-2 overall record. His save percentage ranks second in the ECAC and 24th nationally.
In ECAC conference games, Zacher posted a 9-8-1 record in 19 starts along with a .910 save percentage and 2.77 goals against average. His save percentage ranked second in the conference among goalies with more than 10 games played.
Zacher recorded the second-longest scoreless streak in program history during conference play in November at 157:04. The streak including a road sweep over Clarkson and St. Lawrence, the first for the program in more than 20 years. He earned ECAC Goalie of the Month honors in November.
His 14 wins in 2024-25 are tied for the fourth-most in a single season by a Brown goalie since the start of the 1969-70 season. Zacher trails only Kevin McCabe's 21-win season in 1975-76 and consecutive 15-win seasons from Yann Danis in 2002-03 and 2003-04.
Zacher is one of four with 14 wins in a season alongside Anthony Borelli (2012-13), Adam D'Alba (2004-05), and McCabe (1974-75).
Zacher is also the first goalie since Danis earn Second Team or better honors from the ECAC. Danis was named First Team All-ECAC as a senior in 2004 and Second Team All-ECAC as a sophomore and junior.
The Buffalo, New York native adds to his accolades this season. He was previously named a Hobey Baker Memorial Award nominee, a semifinalist for the Mike Richter Award, and a a nominee for the 72nd Annual Walter Brown Award.
