
Bears Breakdown: Harvard & Sacred Heart

The Bears are coming off of a dual competition loss at home to Columbia by a final score of 27-17 (2/16). Hunter Adrian (133) and Alex Semenenko (285) both won their matches last weekend against Connor Smith (Columbia) and Richard Ryu (Columbia). Semenenko, who won via pinfall in 2:07, is in sole possession of fifth place in NCAA DI for pinfall victories on the season. Adrian also dominated his matchup, winning by technical fall and a final score of 17-2.
The probable lineup for Brown against Harvard and Sacred Heart is as follows (all rankings from NCAA Coaches Ranking):

Along with Semenenko and Adrian, #31 Blake Saito (157), Andrew Reall (184), Jacob Joyce (133), and Ian Oswalt (141) are all aiming to build momentum heading in the Ivy League Championships with a chance to qualify for the NCAA Championships in March.
Saito and Joyce have both been dealing with injuries over the past two weeks and were not able to compete against Columbia last weekend. Both are questionable for this weekend.
OPPONENT PREVIEW
The first dual match takes place in Cambridge, Massachusetts at 7 p.m. against the Harvard Crimson. Harvard is 0-7 on the season and lost its last competition against Columbia by a final score of 32-8 (2/15).

While it is unclear whether or not he will compete on Friday, Diego Sotelo (125) is ranked #25 in the nation for his weight class and currently sits at 10-4 on the season (3-1 in dual competition). Depending on the injury status of #31 Blake Saito, there could be a nationally ranked battle with #32 Jimmy Harrington (157), who comes into Friday with an 11-9 overall record (2-2 in dual competition).
On Saturday, the Bears will have their final dual competition of the regular season when they travel to Fairfield, Connecticut to take on the Sacred Heart Pioneers at 7 p.m. The Pioneers will enter the day with a 1-14 record on the season, having lost their last fourteen matches in a row. The last competition for Sacred Heart was a 29-20 defeat at the hands of Morgan State University (2/16).
