Bedell Named GEC Specialist of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – For the second time this season, Brown senior Julia Bedell has been named the GEC Specialist of the Week following her strong performance at this past weekend's meet against Yale and New Hampshire.
Bedell tied for third on vault at 9.750 and tied for second overall on floor with a season-high of 9.900, helping the Bears to a season-high score on floor of 48.975.
On the season, she ranks second in the GEC on vault with an average score of 9.783 and ranks second on floor with an average of 9.808. Regionally, she enters this weekend ranked fifth on vault and 15th on floor.
Bedell was previously named the Specialist of the Week back on January 15 following her performance in Brown's season-opening tri-meet at Iowa State.
The Bears are set to return to action this Sunday afternoon in a quad meet at Yale against the Bulldogs, New Hampshire and Towson.
