
Cardoza, Okonye Named United Soccer Coaches First Team All-East Region

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's soccer senior Naya Cardoza and junior Joy Okonye have been named to the 2025 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I All-East Region First Team.
Cardoza is coming off World Cup qualifiers with Team Jamaica. Cardoza anchored Brown's defensive unit throughout her career at Brown and earned unanimous First Team All-Ivy honors in 2025. She was named to TopDrawerSoccer's Midseason Top 100 and earned a spot on TDS National Team of the Week in September. Cardoza started in all 17 of the Bears' games and tallied seven goals on the season, tied for the second most in the Ivy. She was named to the Ivy All-Tournament team and was a two-time conference defensive player of the week recipient.
Okonye led the Ivy League during the regular season with 19 total points and four game-winning goals, and the junior collected seven goals.
