Men’s Basketball Closes Non-Conference Action Against Johnson & Wales on Wednesday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown men's basketball team (5-7) will close non-conference action against Johnson & Wales (1-10, 0-3) on Wednesday, December 31. Tip-off is scheduled for 12 p.m. inside the Pizzitola Sports Center.

Last Time Out
Brown continued non-conference action with a hard-fought 86-79 loss at Providence (Dec. 9). Landon Lewis led all scorers with 17 points to go along with a team-high eight rebounds. Luke Paragon netted a career-high 15 points on 5-7 shooting from beyond the arc.
Scouting Brown
Brown is averaging 89.6 points over the last three contests, highlighted by 44.7 shooting from beyond the arc.
On the defensive end, Brown has held four out of its last six opponents to under 60 points. The Bears' 56.3 scoring defense ranks 27th nationally and first in the Ivy League.
N'famara Dabo leads the Ivy League in blocks per game (2.3) and total blocks (2.7). Dabo's blocks per game and total blocks both rank in the top 30 across the nation. Jeremiah Jenkins leads the Ivy League in assists per game (4.9), total assists (59), steals per game (2.2), and total steals (26).
The Bears are seeking their fourth straight win at home, it would be the second-straight season Brown has accumulated a four-game winning streak at home.

Johnson & Wales will look for its first win since Nov. 15, the Wildcats are 0-5 on the road this season.
As a team, the Wildcats are shooting 38.9 percent from the floor, Alvin Baez is shooting a team-high 40.6. Baez is averaging a team-high 22.1 points per game.
Azariah Harrison joins Baez as the lone Wildcats averaging double figures, Harrison is averaging 15.5 points per game.
