
Women’s Basketball Welcomes Wheaton for Monday Matinee Matchup

Scouting the Bears (7-4)
- Four Bears posted double figures in their last outing (Dec. 9), leading a 70-60 win over Merrimack and the team's seventh victory of the season.
- First-year forward/guard Isabella Wesley was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week on Dec. 15 after setting multiple career-highs in Brown's win over Merrimack. Wesley clocked in a career-high 25 minutes played, one three-pointer made, two free-throws made, three assists, and one block. She also netted seven points, and made two baskets from the field.
- Senior forward Beth Nelson set career-highs against the Warriors, netting 15 points, five field goals, and four three-pointers made. Nelson also tied her career-high with three blocks.
- Senior forward Alyssa Moreland posted a double-double for the fourth time this season, and the ninth time in her career. She closed out the contest with 14 points and 16 rebounds. Moreland has now ended eight games this season in double-figures in points, and seven in rebounds.
- The Bears lead the Ivy League in combined team rebounds with an average of 40.5 per game.
- Brown's defense ranks third-best in the conference, keeping its opponents to below 60 points (56.5) per game.
- In their last time out (Dec. 6), the Lyons fell to Wesleyan 51-60.
- Wheaton has earned wins over Rivier (84-81 OT), Framingham State (79-75), and Regis (64-54).
- The Lyons have three players averaging double-figures in points per game. Kiki Walters leads the team in scoring with 15.9 points per game. Regan Keyter follows Walters with 13.7 points per game. Rounding out the top-three is Cheyenne Colbert, who averages 12.8 points per game.
- Keyter was named NEWMAC Defensive Athlete of the Week on Dec. 1 after averaging 17 points and 11.5 rebounds, with two double-doubles in two games.
- Wheaton currently sits above MIT and Mount Holyoke in the NEWMAC standings.
- Monday afternoon's contest will be the first meeting for the Bears and Lyons.
