Women’s Basketball Continues Road Stretch at Stonehill on Wednesday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown women's basketball team will continue its five-game road stretch on Wednesday night when they travel to Stonehill. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. inside of Merkert Gymnasium.
The contest will be broadcast live on NEC Front Row and NESN Nation.

Scouting the Bears (5-3)
- The Bears are coming off of a five-day road trip around Pennsylvania, going 1-1 in its two games played over the Thanksgiving break. Brown defeated Bucknell (Nov. 28) 61-50, and narrowly fell to Lehigh (Nov. 30) 54-58.
- First-year Charlotte Adams-Lopez was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the second time this season on Dec. 1.
- Adams-Lopez earned her second Ivy League Rookie of the Week nod after setting career-highs over the Thanksgiving break with three free-throws on four attempts at Bucknell (Nov. 28), and seven assists and six rebounds at Lehigh (Nov. 30).
- Alyssa Moreland and Grace Arnolie led the Bears in scoring for their fifth consecutive game at Lehigh on Nov. 30.
- With seven assists at Bucknell (Nov. 28), Arnolie now ranks 10th in program history in career assists, with 267.
- Brown held Bucknell to just six points in the first quarter of its contest on Nov. 28. This is the second time this season that the Bears have been able to keep its opponent below double-digits. It first occurred on Nov. 23 when Brown held Maine to two points in the first quarter of play.
- Head Coach Monique LeBlanc returned to her alma mater Bucknell for the first time since joining Brown, and walked away with a 61-50 victory.
- Grace Arnolie has closed out all of her appearances this season in double-figures.
- Alyssa Moreland has closed out seven games this season in double-figures, including the last six.
- The Skyhawks have dropped its last two contests against Bryant (Nov. 22, 48-77) and at Maine (Nov. 17, 53-79).
- Stonehill posted its two wins against Niagara (Nov. 11, 65-50) and Rider (Nov. 13, 77-55) so far this season.
- Reese Roggenburk leads Stonehill in scoring with an average of 10.6 points per game. Brooke Paquette follows closely behind with 10.4 points per game. Roggenburk also leads the Skyhawks in field goal percentage with .657.
- Stonehill currently leads its opponents in free throws per game 10.6-8.6, and percentage .624-.597. The Skyhawks have four players shooting at least 75% from the free-throw line.
- Last season the Skyhawks made it to the NEC Championship game, where it fell 66-49 to an undefeated FDU.
- This year, Stonehill was selected to finish second in the NEC Preseason Poll.
- Wednesday's meeting marks the third time overall that the Bears and Skyhawks have met.
- It will be the teams' second meeting since Stonehill has transitioned to the Division I level.
- Last year the Bears hosted the Skyhawks, and came away with a 78-45 win.
