
Women’s Basketball Hosts New Hampshire on Tuesday Night

Scouting the Bears (3-2)
- The Bears are currently on a three-game winning streak, after securing a convincing 70-39 win over Maine on Sunday afternoon. Brown boasts a clean sheet at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
- The team previously earned Ws at UMBC (Nov. 16), and against Boston University (Nov. 19). The Retrievers were fresh off of its first-ever Power 4 win over Virginia, while Brown won its home opener for the first time since 2018, and defeated BU for the first time since 2017.
- Brown held Maine to just two points in the first quarter of play. The contest marked the first time that the Bears have kept their opponent under 40 points since their 49-39 win over Cornell at the end of last season.
- Senior guard Grace Arnolie led the Bears in scoring, with a season-high 22 points on the afternoon. She also shot 60% from beyond the arc. Senior forward Alyssa Moreland netted the second-most points on the team, with 17. Moreland shot 80% from the field, posted seven boards, and four steals.
- Moreland is currently tied for 22nd in rebounds per game in all of Division I, with 10.8 per game.
- First-years Morgan Ross and Lindsay Harzich made their first collegiate appearances against Maine on Sunday afternoon. In her six minutes of playing time, Ross collected six points, grabbed four rebounds, and shot 67% from the field.
- The Bears now improve in multiple statistical categories over its opponents including points per game (61.6), field goal percentage (.402), field goals per game (23.4), and assists per game (11.4).
- The Wildcats are coming off of a 44-63 loss at Army West Point on Thursday (Nov. 20).
- New Hampshire has dropped all three of its contests against DI opponents (Boston College, Colgate, and Green Bay) so far this season. UNH has earned its two wins against DIII opponents Worcester State and New England College.
- Eva Dechent leads the Wildcats in scoring with an average of 18.8 points per game. DeChent was also named to the America East Preseason All-Conference Team.
- Sydney Lusher leads the team in three-point percentage (.571) and Averie Harding leads in field goal percentage (.667).
- New Hampshire is leading its opponents in multiple statistical categories such as points per game (65.3), field goal percentage (.444), three-pointers per game (6.7) and assists per game (12.8).
- The Wildcats added six new additions in the offseason in transfers Camryn Fauria, Jamie Kent, Katie Ledden, Sophia Sabino, and Kassidy Thompson, and first-year Alia Cordone, Averie Harding, and Carolina Williams.
- New Hampshire was selected to finish seventh in the America East Preseason Poll, receiving 24 votes. UNH ranks above UMass Lowell and UMBC.
- Brown holds the edge over New Hampshire, with a 14-13 record that dates back to 1985.
- The Bears are 8-6 against the Wildcats at home.
- Brown is on a four-game winning streak against UNH that began in 2018.
