N’famara Dabo Makes History as Men’s Basketball Falls 72-63 to Hampton

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - N'famara Dabo recorded a program record 11 blocks on Friday evening as the Brown men's basketball team (0-4) dropped the opener of the Brown Bears Invitational to Hampton (2-2), 72-63 inside the Pizzitola Sports Center.
The first half had eight lead changes as neither team held a lead of more than five points. The Bears and Pirates both scored 14 points in the paint in the opening 20 minutes, Hampton outrebounded Brown 21-12.
Dabo, Jeremiah Jenkins, and Isaiah Langham all finished with eight points in the first half as Dabo recorded six first half blocks. Dabo's six blocks were the most in a half since Jaylan Gainey '22 recorded six blocks in the second half against Columbia (Feb. 22, 2022).
Hampton led 30-27 heading into halftime.
The Pirates outscored the Bears 42-36 in the second half, Michael Eley led the way with 12 second half points for Hampton.
Dabo recorded five blocks in the second half, passing Gainey's eight blocks from 2022. Dabo's 11 blocks are the most in a single game by a Bear and the second-most in Ivy League history. The junior finished with 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and 11 blocks, this was Dabo's second double-double in the last three games.
Brown's 13 total blocks are tied for the most in a single game this season across the nation, Dabo's 11 rejections are the most by a player in a single game across the country.
The Bears shot 50 percent from the floor and 42.1 percent from three-point range. Brown's 42.1 three-point percentage is the best mark in a game this season.
Jenkins scored 13 points in the second half on 4-7 shooting from the floor and 3-4 shooting from three-point range. The sophomore finished the game with a career high 21 points to go along with four assists. Langham finished with 13 points and six rebounds in his first collegiate start
Brown will conclude the Brown Bears Invitational on Tuesday, Nov. 18 when they welcome Holy Cross, tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside the Pizzitola Sports Center.
