Men's Swim and Dive Host Yale on Thursday, Travel to Penn on Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's swimming and diving team (1-1, 1-1 Ivy) continues Ivy League play with two meets this weekend. The Bears will host Yale (0-0, 0-0 Ivy) on Thursday at 5 p.m. at the Katherine Coleman Aquatics Center, followed by a road dual against Penn (0-1, 0-1 Ivy) at Sheerr Pool on Saturday at noon.
Saturday's contest can be watched on ESPN+.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
- The Bears began their season at Dartmouth, splitting the two-day meet with a 157-143 win over the Big Green and a 219-81 loss to Princeton.
- Rowland Lawver secured a win in the 1-meter dive with a score of 352.60 and set NCAA Zone A qualifying marks in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives.
- In his first collegiate meet, Rory O'Connor won the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:25.10.
- Marton Nagy finished second in the 200 backstroke (1:45.96) and third in the 100 backstroke (48.27).
- Jake Regenwetter (100 breast), Christopher Zhang (100 free), and Erik Nadecki (400 IM) all placed third in their respective events.
- Last season, Brown defeated Penn 174-126 at home and fell to Yale in New Haven, 207-93.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
- The Bulldogs officially begin their season in Providence after back-to-back scrimmages.
- Yale placed third at the Ivy League Championships last season, and two Bulldogs earned All-America honors: senior Noah Millard and sophomore Nick Finch.
- Key players of Yale's team are senior Noah Millard and sophomore Nick Finch, who both earned All-American honors last year and made appearances at the NCAA Championships.
- Senior Alexander Hazlett was a member of the 2025 Ivy League championship 200 medley relay team.
SCOUTING THE QUAKERS
- The Quakers opened up their season with a 166-134 loss to Columbia on Saturday.
- Penn won eight events at the meet, highlighted by sophomore transfer Eddie Jin, who secured two individual victories in the 100 and 200 freestyle events.
- Penn placed seventh in the Ivy League Championships last year.
- Second Team All-Ivy honoree Peter Whittington headlines Penn's returning group, as well as James Curreri and Watson Nguyen.

Brown will head to Lewisburg, Pa., for the Bucknell Invitational from Nov. 21-23.
