Men's Water Polo Beats No. 17 Santa Clara to Close Weekend Play

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Brown men's water polo (15-6) earned a 14-9 win over No. 17 Santa Clara to close out play at the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament on Saturday (Oct. 25).
Jaxson Tierney led Brown with five goals as the Bears overcame a one-goal halftime deficit against the Broncos. Ramzi Megalli finished the game with two goals.
Dimitrios Kratimenos finished with six saves and scored two goals in the win.
Santa Clara took a 7-6 lead into the second half before Brown exploded for four goals in the third while allowing just one. The Bears repeated that in the fourth quarter with four more goals to pull away for the win.
UP NEXT
The Bears will return to NWPC play next weekend with games at MIT and Harvard on Saturday, Nov. 1.
