PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Brown men's crew, coming off a top five finish in the country at last year's IRA National Championships, has released its 2025-26 fall and spring schedules. The Bears will hit the water for the first time tomorrow morning at 9:50 a.m., as they head to Shelton, Connecticut to compete in the Head of the Housatonic. The final race of the fall comes a week later, as Bruno competes in the Head of the Charles in Cambridge, Massachusetts from Oct. 18-19.Â
The Bears kick off their spring slate with a home race on the Seekonk River against Boston University on Mar. 21, one of two home races for Brown this season. From Mar. 27-28, the Bears will compete in the Sarasota 2K at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida against some of the other premier rowing programs in the country. After a couple of weeks to regroup back in Providence, Brown will head to New Jersey to compete in the Princeton Invitational from Apr. 10-11.Â
The Bears wrap up their home schedule with a race against Dartmouth on Apr. 18 in Providence before heading to Boston, Massachusetts to compete against Northeastern on Apr. 25. The final Ivy League race of the season takes place on May 2, when Bruno heads back to New Jersey to compete against the Princeton Tigers.Â
Two weeks later, Brown will travel to Worcester, Massachusetts to race on Lake Quinsigamond in the Eastern Sprints. The Bears will be looking to take home their second Ivy League championship in three years at the Sprints, with the Varsity Eight having won gold at the event in 2024. From May 29-31, the nation's best crews will make their way to Gold River, California to compete in the 2026 IRA National Championships.Â
