Men's Hockey Returns to ECAC Play with Road Trip to Harvard, Dartmouth

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (4-7-2, 2-5-1 ECAC) return to conference play with a trip to take on the Harvard Crimson (3-7-2, 2-4-2 ECAC) on Friday before taking on the Dartmouth Big Green (7-5-2, 4-2-1 ECAC) on Saturday.
Both games are set to begin at 7 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+ in the United States and on Stretch Internet internationally.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Brown enters the weekend with a 4-7-2 overall record and 2-5-1 ECAC mark. Most recently, the Bears battled to the end in a 2-0 loss to #4/5 Providence College on Tuesday (Jan. 7).
- Offensively, Brown averages 2.0 goals per game with captain Max Scott leading the team with six goals. Freshman Brian Nicholas is tied for the team lead with eight assists and leads the team with 13 points.
- Brown's power play clicks at 13.3% (4-for-30) with Nicholas leading the team with two power play goals and four power play points.
- Defensively, Brown allows 2.2 goals per game to rank second in the ECAC and 12th nationally.
- Goaltender Lawton Zacher holds a .939 save percentage and 1.89 goals against average in 10 starts. Tyler Shea holds a .936 save percentage and 2.43 goals against average in three starts.
- Harvard enters the weekend with a 3-7-2 overall record and 2-4-2 ECAC mark.
- The Crimson returned from the break and suffered a 3-2 loss to Quinnipiac and a 7-3 non-conference loss to UConn.
- Offensively, Harvard averages 2.4 goals per game to rank eighth in the conference. Casey Severo leads the team with six goals and Joe Miller leads the Crimson with seven assists and 10 points.
- Harvard's power play ranks ninth in the ECAC at 14.7% (5-34).
- Defensively, the Crimson allow 3.1 goals per game to rank ninth in the ECAC.
- Between the pipes, Ben Charette holds a .920 save percentage and 2.58 goals against average in five starts. Aku Koskenvuo has a .896 save percentage and 3.01 goals against average in seven starts.
- Harvard's penalty kill clicks at 82.9% (29-35) to rank fourth in the league.
- Friday marks the 185th meeting between Brown and Harvard in a series dating back to 1898.
- Harvard owns the series edge, 119-50-15. In recent history, Brown is 3-1-1 in the last five matchups.
- Ryan and Lucas St. Louis will square off for the first time at the collegiate level on Friday.
- Brown's St. Louis has six points in six games played while Harvard's has four points in 12 games played.
- The last set of brothers to square off in a game were Tristan and Max Crozier (PC). The brothers played against each other on November 30, 2019 at Schneider Arena.
- Dartmouth enters the weekend with a 7-5-2 overall record and 4-2-1 conference mark. The Big Green are receiving votes in both national polls.
- Dartmouth returned from the break to host the Ledyard Classic, beating Alaska Anchorage before falling to Providence College. Most recently, Merrimack took a 2-1 home win over the Big Green.
- Dartmouth's offense averages 3.3 goals per game and are tied for first in the ECAC and ninth in the NCAA.
- Sean Chisholm and Hayden Stavroff lead the team with seven goals apiece with Nikita Nikora leading the team with 12 assists and 15 points.
- Dartmouth's power play ranks sixth in the ECAC at 23.1% (9-39).
- Defensively, the Big Green allow 2.8 goals per game to rank sixth in the conference.
- Roan Clarke holds a .901 save percentage and 2.68 goals against average in nine starts. Emmett Croteau has a .888 save percentage and 2.33 goals against average in five starts.
- Saturday marks the 169th meeting between Brown and Dartmouth in a series dating back to 1928.
- Dartmouth holds the series edge, 86-72-10, but the Bears are 5-4-1 over the last 10 meetings.
