Women's Basketball Returns Home to Host Cornell

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Brown women's basketball team will return home to the Pizzitola Sports Center to host the Cornell Big Red for Youth Day on Monday. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.Â
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Scouting the Bears (7-9, 1-2 Ivy)
- The Bears suffered a 53-83 loss to the Harvard Crimson on Saturday afternoon at Lavietes Pavilion. The competition was tight to start, but the Bears were unable to close the gap and grab a win. Brown heads into Monday's game looking to bounce back, and add another Ivy win to their record.
- Junior guard Grace Arnolie led the Bears in scoring on Saturday afternoon. Arnolie is currently ranked seventh in the conference in scoring. She averages 15.0 points per game.
- First-year forward Aima Ofunrein sits at third place in field goal percentage in the conference. Ofunrein has netted 58 baskets so far this season.
- Brown ranks first in the Ivy League in three-pointers made. The Bears average 7.9 triples per game. Guards Grace Arnolie, Gia Powell, and Olivia Young helped the Bears to first.
- The Big Red lost their third game in a row on Saturday against Penn. Just six points separated Cornell from Penn. The Big Red have yet to earn a conference win this season, and are on the hunt for their first.
- Cornell had three players finish in double digits against Penn: Paige Engels, Rachel Kaus, and Emily Pape.
- Emily Pape currently ranks sixth in the conference in rebounding. Pape averages 6.8 rebounds per game.
- Summer Parker-Hall leads Cornell in scoring, averaging 12.5 points per game.
- The Bears have a 56-32 record over the Big Red, winning their last three games against them.
- Brown went on a 17 game win streak over Cornell spanning from 1986-1995.
