
Women’s Basketball Falls to Harvard

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- The Brown women's basketball team (7-9, 1-2 Ivy) fell to the Harvard Crimson (13-2, 2-1 Ivy),83-53, on Saturday afternoon.
Junior guard Grace Arnolie led the Bears in scoring with 10 points. First-year forward Aima Ofunrein followed Arnolie with eight points.
The contest was tight at the start, with scoring alternating between both teams. Harvard led 7-5 around the halfway point of the quarter. Sophomore guard Olivia Young hit a jumper, knotting things up. The Bears netted six more points in the quarter totaling 13, to Harvard's 26.
Brown opened up the second quarter with a three-pointer from Arnolie. She posted another triple ahead of the break, alongside senior guard Isabella Mauricio. Brown netted 11 points in the second quarter. Harvard held on to their lead 48-24 at the break.
The Bears saw a new combination out on the floor coming out of the break. Junior forward Alyssa Moreland, junior guards Mackenzie Leahy, and Beth Nelson, and first-year guard Sela Klein, contributed to Brown's 15 points scored in the quarter. Harvard outscored the Bears by three points in third.
Brown regrouped heading into the final 10 minutes, but were unable to make the comeback.

The Bears will return to Providence to host the Cornell Big Red (4-12, 0-3 Ivy) for Youth Day at the Pizzitola Sports Center on Monday. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
