PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Lucy Adams, Lexi Pellegrino and Mia Karine Myklebust all scored for the Bears (2-3, 1-0 Ivy), carrying them to a 4-1 win over Ohio University (3-5, 0-1) Saturday afternoon.

"It was a great team win and super fun to be able to put some goals in and remain connected for the entire 60 minutes," said Lexi Pellegrino.

The Bears and the Bobcats went through the first quarter scoreless, Brown carrying a 7-2 shot advantage over Ohio.

"Our focus was entirely on ourselves and the factors we could control such as fulfilling the game plan, keeping our tempo high and staying connected," said Head Coach Britt Broady.

Lucy Adams scored to get the Bears on the board first less than four minutes into the second. Adams' goal went unassisted.

With three minutes to go in the first half, Lexi Pellegrino recorded her first goal of the game. Pellegrino buried a rebound that came as result of a shot taken by Jule Rothenberger. Pellegrino's goal carried the Bears into the second half up 2-0.

Pellegrino tallied her second goal less than 30 seconds into the third quarter. Unassisted, her shot ricocheted off of Bobcat Lotze's legs.

Mia Karine Myklebust tallied the Bear's fourth goal. Zoe Lawrence earned the assist, taking the shot from top of the circle off the Bears eighth penalty corner of the game.

Anouk Plaehn got the Bobcats on the board with about nine minutes left in the third. Plaehn's goal was assisted by Emily Rissler.

GAME NOTES

The Bears had a 24-4 shot advantage.
Brown earned a 13-1 penalty corner advantage over Ohio.
The Bobcats led in total saves for the game, 15-3.

The Bears play 6th-ranked Ohio State (7-0, 1-0 Big Ten) tomorrow, Sunday September 21 at 1 p.m. at Buckeye Varsity Field in Columbus, Ohio. The game will be streaming on B1GNetwork+.
