Field Hockey Hits the Road to Play Ohio, 6th-Ranked Ohio State

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (1-3, 1-0 Ivy League) are back on the road this weekend as they travel to Athens, Ohio to play Ohio University (3-3, 0-0 MAC) before heading over to Columbus to play #6-ranked Ohio State (6-0, 0-0 Big Ten) on Sunday.
Saturday and Sunday games are both scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. with Saturday's game on ESPN+ and Sunday's game on B1GNetwork+.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
- The Bears enter the weekend looking to build off momentum from the recent 2-1 double OT conference win against Yale last Sunday.
- Senior Julia Hitti earned herself Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week following a 2-1 win over Yale.
- Katie McCallum leads the bears with goals and points, scoring the game-winning OT goal against Yale. Lucy Adams leads with four assists, providing one on each of Brown's goals against Yale.
- Kylee Del Monte has started all four games and enters the weekend with a 2.25 goals against average and a .643 save percentage.
- The Bobcats enter the weekend 3-3 overall, coming off a 5-1 win over Saint Louis and a 6-0 loss to Michigan.
- Sasha Dikolta and Natalie LaFleur both lead the Bobcats with three goals in the season. Dikolta leads the offense with seven points.
- Macy Lotze has started five games recording a 2.32 goals against average and a 0.744 save percentage.
- Saturday will mark the first meeting between the Bears and the Bobcats.
- The Buckeyes has been ranked since day one starting preseason ranked #14, climbing to #8 after week one, and now landing in #6 in the NFHCA polls.
- Ohio State has only allowed three goals in their first six games of the season.
- Leading the Buckeyes with points this season, forward Makenna Webster tallies 18 points heading into the weekend with 6 goals and 6 assists.
- Defensively, the Buckeyes have only allowed three goals in six games with goaltender Abby Danson in net holding a 0.6 goals against average and .880 save percentage.
- Sunday will be the first ever match-up between the Buckeyes and the Bears, meeting in Columbus for this brand new series.
- Per FieldHockeyCorner.com, Brown has the 12th-ranked strength of schedule through the early part of the season.
