
Women’s Soccer Hosts Providence on Thursday Evening

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown women's soccer team will welcome Providence to Stevenson-Pincince Field on Thursday evening, kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
Thursday is the team's Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night, all faculty and staff members can claim up to two free tickets for the contest. Faculty and staff members can claim their tickets here.
Fans are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets online at Brownbears.com/tickets prior to their arrival at Stevenson-Pincince Field. Fans should either download their digital tickets to display on a mobile device or print them at home prior to arrival. There is a no re-entry policy in place for all ticketed athletic events at Brown University, once you have scanned your ticket to enter, you must remain inside the venue.
As part of an effort to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our spectators, Brown Athletics has implemented the following bag policy at athletic events.
Backpacks, duffel bags and other multi-compartment bags are NOT permitted into the venue. Brown Athletics does not provide any storage for prohibited bags and/or items. Bags are subject to be checked upon entry. Clear bags no larger than 12"x12"x6" or small wristlets no larger than (4"x6") are permitted and are strongly encouraged.

Scouting The Bears (1-1-3)
- In their last contest, the Bears earned a 1-1 draw at MInnesota (Sept. 8), as Naya Cardoza scored a game-tying goal in the 86th minute. Bella Schopp made six saves in the draw.
- The tie with Minnesota was the second tie for the Bears against Big Ten opponents this season, Brown earned a 1-1 draw against Indiana (Sept. 1).
- Brown is 1-0-1 at Stevenson-Pincince Field this season.
- The Bears will next travel to Ohio State on Sunday, Sept. 15, kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
- Providence will play its second road contest of the season, the Friars are 0-1 on the road this season as they lost at Army (Sept. 1).
- In their last contest, the Friars picked up a 3-2 win over Northeastern (Sept. 8). Providence had three different goal scorers in the win.
- Providence was picked to finish fifth in the Big East preseason poll.
- The Bears are 22-12 all-time against the Friars in the Crosstown Cup.
- Brown has won two consecutive games at Stevenson-Pincince Field against Providence (2019 & 2022).
- The Bears will look to reclaim the Crosstown Cup after falling 1-0 at Providence last season.
