Joseph Qualifies for NCAA Championships

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Brown junior jumper Jada Joseph punched her ticket to the NCAA National Championships in the triple jump on Saturday evening, capping off the week of competition at the NCAA East First Round. Joseph will now compete for an NCAA national championship in the event, joining 23 other competitors in Eugene, Oregon on June 5-8.
Joseph finished 11th overall in the triple jump on Saturday with a leap of 12.87 meters with the top 12 advancing to the national championships.
Senior Lauren Yeboah-Kodie also represented the Bears in the triple jump on Saturday, finishing 20th overall at 12.69m. Brown also had two athletes compete in the high jump on Saturday where Ivy League champion Rudecia Bernard cleared 1.76m to tie for 14th overall, and senior Chiamaka Odenigbo cleared 1.66m.
On the men's side, the Bears were represented earlier this week by senior Zach Love, who placed 19th in the long jump on Wednesday at 7.40 meters.
