Women's Water Polo Celebrates Seniors on Friday Night

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – No. 24 Brown women's water polo fell to No. 21 Harvard 10-8 in the regular season finale on Friday night.
Prior to the game, Brown celebrated the careers of seniors Sophie Golub and Sierra Martin. Golub tied for the team lead with two goals in the game, matching Madeleine Poissonnier's performance.
Claire Poissonnier and Golub each scored in the first quarter. Ella Palmer and Madeleine Poissonnier both scored in the second as Brown and Harvard were tied at four at halftime.
The Crimson outscored Brown 4-3 in the third quarter as Cleo Washer, Hanna Tidrenczel and Madeleine Poissonnier each found the net for the Bears.
Harvard maintained its advantage throughout the fourth with Golub adding Brown's only goal in the final quarter.
UP NEXT
Brown will be the No. 4 seed in the CWPA Tournament that will be held next weekend at Harvard. The Bears will play the No. 5 seed Bucknell on Friday (April 26) at 6 p.m.
