Women's Water Polo Beats Bucknell in CWPA First Round

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Brown women's water polo started play at the CWPA Tournament with a 13-7 win over Bucknell on Friday night. Claire Poissonnier led Brown with four goals in the win.

Brown jumped ahead early with Poissonnier scoring three goals in the first quarter as Brown built a 5-3 lead. The Bears then scored four-straight goals to start the second quarter, two coming from Sophie Golub. Hanna Tidrenczel's goal with less than a minute left in the half put Brown up 10-4.

Golub and Madeleine Poissonnier each scored in the third quarter and Sierra Martin's goal in the fourth put the Bears up 13-6.

UP NEXT
Brown will take on the No. 1 seed Princeton Tigers at 2 p.m. on Saturday in the semifinals.
