Baseball Heads North for Weekend Series at Dartmouth

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown baseball team will dive back into Ivy League play this weekend with a three-game series at Dartmouth. All three games will be streamed live on ESPN+ starting with Saturday's doubleheader at 11:30 a.m. and Sunday's single game at noon.

SCOUTING BROWN (8-18, 3-6 Ivy)
- Brown took two out of three at Harvard two weekends ago before dropping two out of three to Princeton last weekend and a non-conference matchup against URI on Tuesday.
- Junior outfielder Nathan Brasher leads the team in batting average at .323 and is second on the team with 30 hits, including a team-leading seven doubles.
- Brasher has 14 steals on the season, putting him in a three-way tie for the league lead. He stole four bases in as many attempts last Saturday in game two against Princeton.
- Sophomore first baseman Mark Henshon will carry a 19-game on-base streak into the weekend and has a hit in 16 of his last 19 games.
- Junior Gunner Boree is batting .308 on the season and ranks in the top five in several Ivy League categories: on-base (4th/.460), slugging pct. (5th/.569), and walks (t-3rd/17).
- Batting out of the leadoff spot, Mika Petersen ranks eighth in the league in runs scored (23) and sixth in RBIs (21).
- Shortstop DJ Dillehay is batting .295 and leads the team with 31 hits and is second with 20 RBIs.
- On the mound, Paxton Meyers ranks tied for second in the Ivy League in innings pitched (40.1), fifth in ERA (3.79), and seventh in opponents' batting average (.245) and strikeouts (38).
- Jack Seppings is tied with Meyers at 40.1 innings pitched and is fourth with 41 strikeouts.
- Jacob Young is second in the league with three saves.
SCOUTING DARTMOUTH (7-16, 2-7 Ivy)
- Nathan Cmeyla is hitting .360 on the season, good for second in the Ivy League, and ranks ninth with a .547 slugging percentage. Elliot Krewson is tied for sixth by hitting .344.
- Kolton Freeman is tied with Cmeyla for the team lead with three home runs, while drawing a team-leading 16 walks.
- Dartmouth started Ivy League play by taking two out of three at Yale, then getting swept in consecutive weekends by Cornell and Columbia.
